A leap into de unknown

30 de April, 2022

How many times have you jumped without a parachute? Perhaps more often than you could ever imagine. A marriage or a divorce, the choice to have children or a new job involves taking a step forward without knowing what to expect. We leap into the void, hopeful that everything will be OK, without a parachute to support us. We trust ourselves and those around us, hoping it can be our safety net. Sometimes we throw ourselves into the unknown out of simple curiosity or even to put our resilience to the test. In one way or another, our courage and inner confidence can overcome our vulnerabilities. We believe to be up to the challenges out of necessity, alternatives, convictions or self-love.

The experience can be both exciting and frightening. Jumping is a risk, and the unknown makes us insecure. But it is again in this space that an entire set of potentialities opens up. The fog on the way clears as we go along, more or less quickly. In fact, the pace doesn’t matter. The leap into the unknown is worth it for the experience of testing ourselves and getting to know each other further. At the end of the journey, we realize we’re stronger and more capable than we thought. We got to know each other better and shaped the idea we had about ourselves. Jumping without a parachute can become addictive in this relentless quest to know who we really are.
